Sorting plant for lightweight packaging

In addition to engineering and implementation planning, the scope of the order included the procurement, manufacture and delivery of the entire plant technology and components as well as installation and commissioning.

Packaging waste from the PMC category of the Belgian waste management system, i.e. packaging made of plastics, light metals (aluminium or tinplate) and composite materials

Throughput:
Approx. 40,000 tons of lightweight packaging per year

Key Facts:
With the sorting plant, a separation into 17 different fractions is possible thanks to state-of-the-art technology. Modernising or expanding the existing plant was not an economical option, so this new plant was built for a total of 72 municipalities in the province of Liège.
