Start for a new TERRA SELECT generation

With the new TERRA SELECT T 60 version on tracks Eggersmann GmbH presents the most comprehensive update of its trommel screen machines to date: The tracks have been supplemented with additional useful functions and the entire machine concept has been further developed based on customer feedback. The market launch thus marks the start of a state-of-the-art, new generation of trommel screen machines. Moreover, the TERRA SELECT T 60 can from now on use all the important drums from the competition on the market, making the TERRA SELECT T 60 a true MULTIMASTER. 

Perfect screening everywhere – even on inclines
The design of the new TERRA SELECT T 60 is sturdy and yet dynamic. The exterior thus reflects its characteristics exactly, because the robustly designed trommel screen machine by Eggersmann is even more versatile in mobile use thanks to the new track chassis. The track system has a levelling function that keeps the drum balanced even on inclined ground for the best possible screening results. It can compensate inclines of up to 7%. In addition, the chain version offers two further advantages: First, it allows for more mobility on site; second, it provides more traction and is thus the first choice for rough terrains as well as for protection against soil compaction. Thanks to the new operator controls, the tracked trommel screen is quickly ready for operation and easy to move, so that turning and reversing movements are easy, even on rough terrain. The screening machines of the series are particularly suitable for applications such as compost or soil and are therefore very often used on unpaved and uneven ground. "With the track system, our TERRA SELECT T 60 sets new standards in regards to mobility on site. It is ideal for use in soil or gravel pits, as well as in forestry, landscaping and construction sites," Raphael Ruppert, Product Manager Separation Technology with Eggersmann, is convinced. 

The MULTIMASTER among the trommel screen machines
Another major innovation of the machine is the use of competitive drums in the 5.5 x 2 m class. Traditionally, the screening area of the TERRA SELECT drums is 10 % above the average of compara-ble machines on the market due to a greater drum diameter. This is one of the reasons for the par-ticularly precise separation and the high throughput rates of all machines. In addition to the large special drums, the customer can now optionally use the smaller competitor drums. Thus, the TERRA SELECT T 60 offers the customer an individual solution to continue using an already existing drum stock efficiently. It therefore is the MULTIMASTER among the trommel screen machines.

Innovative concepts for more ease of use
For even easier feeding, the capacity of the hopper has been increased by 25 % to 7.5 m3. While the volume of the hopper has been increased by 16%, the feeding height has been reduced at the same time (the height varies according to the level of the tracks). "We listen to our customers and want to make their work as easy and comfortable as possible," Raphael Ruppert explains the new design of the trommel screen machine. For this reason, all control elements of the TERRA SELECT T 60 are still located on one side, so that the machine can be conveniently operated from one side. This makes changing the screening drum, for example, even more convenient and saves a lot of time. The control unit itself is based on the Eggersmann OneLogic system: regardless of whether it is a trommel or star screen machine, a single-shaft or dual-shaft shredder – anyone who is familiar with one mobile machine by Eggersmann can operate the others intuitively. In addition, the TERRA SELECT T 60 also has the Minimum Maintenance System and is therefore as low in maintenance as all Eggersmann recycling machines. 

Another practical innovation is the QuickChange stone grid to protect the machine from damages caused by larger rocks, plus it separates them from the actual fractions. Stone grids for the screen-ing machines by Eggersmann have been around for a long time; what is new, however, is the inte-gration of the reliable Eggersmann QuickChange system, which enables extremely fast removal and installation. This is particularly useful because the discharge direction can be selected as required.

Modern screening knowledge with proven technology 
The TERRA SELECT T 60 also got all the already familiar benefits of the TERRA SELECT series. "From the AIRFIX wind sifter for light foils and plastics to the extra-long conveyor belts for maximum stock piles, the machine can be upgraded with all the well-known additional options for individual cus-tomisation," says Bernd Kühling Brand Manager Separation Technology with Eggersmann. "Our goal was to create an even more practical and user-friendly new design for a more effective work pro-cess while at the same time retaining all the proven benefits of the series. With the new TERRA SELECT T 60, we see this goal achieved and it is therefore the prelude to a new generation of our trommel screen machines." 

The launch is limited to the North American market for the moment. There is currently a particularly pressing demand for high-performance trommel screens with the specific features of the new TERRA SELECT T 60 track version. The MULTIMASTER will be available globally in the course of the coming year.
