New research from FH Münster and BRT HARTNER GmbH has shed light on an important operational improvement for lightweight packaging (LWP) sorting facilities: the strategic use of bag opening technology. The findings, part of a bachelor thesis, indicate that incorporating a bag opener at the initial stage of the sorting process can substantially contribute to mitigating fire risks.
