Sorting Plant (Two Processing Lines with NIR)
This solution gives you two complete sorting systems in a single plant. The two identical processing lines run parallel to each other. With manual sorting, mechanical separation and a state-of-the-art NIR sorting unit (HSI), you can separate recyclable materials into different fractions professionally and using the latest technology. The system is also very versatile.
The system can handle up to 200 m3 of packaging waste or up to 60 tonnes of municipal waste per hour.

System Components
BRT HARTNER D Dosing Hopper
The BRT HARTNER D dosing hopper ensures a particularly uniform material feed. The precisely tunable and sensor-controlled material flow can increase the efficiency of the entire process by up to 20 %. The machine can be used for a wide range of input streams, from waste paper to household waste and shredded tyres to electronic scrap and pulper tails.
Conveyor Technology
This system solution also includes conveyor belts from our own production. We stock a wide range of different belt types and systems in order to offer the right solution for every system.
BRT HARTNER SD Screen Drum
The robust BRT HARTNER SD screen drum can be perfectly adapted to different requirements thanks to its interchangeable screening elements. With a choice of square or round holes of up to 300 mm, it is also perfect for screening coarse materials.
Sorting Lines
Manual sorting on classic sorting lines in so-called "sorting cabins" is the most traditional form of separation. However, this kind of separation is still an effective solution for pre-sorting, especially for waste streams with easily distinguishable materials. This is particularly true if the waste is not to be pre-shredded and is therefore too large for modern separation technology.
BRT HARTNER BS Ballistic Separator
BRT HARTNER BS ballistic separators enable multi-fraction separation. The material is thrown up by means of moving paddles – two-dimensional material falls downwards, while three-dimensional material is passed upwards on the cascades and discharged at the end. Holes in the paddles also enable the screening of a fine fraction.
Electrical Overbelt Magnet
The electric overbelt magnet is a standard component. The powerful design ensures precise ferrous metal separation. It is therefore perfect for sorting out nails, hinges and staples from waste wood or removing ferrous metals from household waste, lightweight packaging and many other input streams.
BRT HARTNER AS Automatic Sorter
The BRT HARTNER AS Automatic Sorter is an optical sorting system. The ultra-modern HSI camera (Hyperspectral Imaging) in combination with the specially trained spectral AI for analysing the data enables extremely precise material classification. Impurities are removed using compressed air.
