In addition to engineering and implementation planning, the scope of the order included the procurement, manufacture and delivery of the entire plant technology and components as well as installation and commissioning.
So far, the largest processing plant for lightweight packaging in Denmark.
Key Facts
With the construction of the plant in Esbjerg, the aim is to no longer export plastics from Denmark in the future. The Danish government plans to recycle 80% of plastic waste by 2030. The plant consists of 140 tons of steel and can separate eleven different fractions.
- Customer: Quantafuel and Eurazeo
- Commissioning: January 2024
- Betrieb: ReSource Denmark APS takes care of the plant operation for the waste disposal service provider Quantafuel and the financial investor Eurazeo.
- Input: Packaging waste from the Danish disposal system; i.e. packaging made of plastics, light metals (aluminum or tinplate) and composite materials
- Throughput: 160,000 tons of lightweight packaging per year
