Recycling Plant for Commercial and Household Waste

Operation:
The plant is operated by Farz, a joint venture between Ramky and Imdaad.

Input:
The day to day industrial and commercial waste from the world's largest offshore industrial park, Jafza Jebel Ali Free Zone; In addition, the majority of the waste from the WORLD EXPO, which will take place in Dubai from October 2021, is to be treated in the recycling plant. 

Throughput:
Around 700 tonnes of commercial waste and 500 tonnes of household waste per day

Key Facts:
The waste process, allows valuable recycling fractions of about 25 - 30% to be recovered, which correspondingly relieves the current landfill. The emissions of CO₂ and CH₄ also lowered considerably. At the same time, RDF is obtained, thus reducing the use of fossil fuels in the cement plants.
