Shredding the recyclingmaterial is beneficial for you in many ways. A homogeneous material size enables a uniform material flow in your system and reduces the volume. Sorting is also simplified in many cases.
Would you like to find out more about the stationary shredding systems from BRT HARTNER or Eggersmann? Are you looking for a system solution or do you have a special application?
We will gladly help you!
The use of low-speed shredders offers you a number of advantages:
The main technical difference is the rotor speed. As a rule of thumb: High-speed rotors may achieve more rounds per minute, but low-speed rotors have a higher torque. However, "slow" still means high throughput rates!
We only stock slow-running single and twin shaft shredders for a good reason. High-speed shredders are used in particular for secondary shredding, as they reduce the material to an extremely small size at high speed. Due to their speed, however, they often only switch off when they are already damaged in the event of an obstacle. The material should therefore be pre-sorted in advance and ideally also pre-shredded so that it is free of foreign objects. With our FORUS twin shaft and TEUTON single shaft shredders, you can shred directly. Our machines have enough time to react to obstructions: The rotors reverse automatically in the event of an obstruction, thereby channelling it past the shredding tools. Even with very large obstacles, the machine protects itself automatically. The shredding devices also detect these obstacles, automatically stop the shredding process and the operator is informed by optical signals to remove the obstacles. Thanks to cutting gap settings, afterbreaker bars and screen baskets, you can also produce perfect final grain sizes - additional secondary crushing with a high-speed machine is therefore no longer necessary for many requirements.
The decision should always depend on the material and the subsequent process steps. Shredders open bags, containers and casings and effectively reduce the volume, but may make further processing more difficult. The smaller grain sizes are sometimes more difficult to separate. Shredding can become a problem, especially with organic waste, as plastic and film fragments are difficult to separate from the sticky biomass. This increases the amount of expensive screenings that need to be disposed of. Whether a BRT HARTNER BM 36 biomass shredder or a BRT HARTNER BOS bag opener for small plastic bags is the more economical choice for you depends on a whole range of factors in these cases.
Whether biomass, electrical appliances or lightweight packaging - you should always seek advice on how to start your treatment process correctly.
