Which is Better: Opening or Shredding?

The decision should always depend on the material and the subsequent process steps. Shredders open bags, containers and casings and effectively reduce the volume, but may make further processing more difficult. The smaller grain sizes are sometimes more difficult to separate. Shredding can become a problem, especially with organic waste, as plastic and film fragments are difficult to separate from the sticky biomass. This increases the amount of expensive screenings that need to be disposed of. Whether a BRT HARTNER BM 36  biomass shredder or a BRT HARTNER BOS bag opener for small plastic bags is the more economical choice for you depends on a whole range of factors in these cases.

Whether biomass, electrical appliances or lightweight packaging - you should always seek advice on how to start your treatment process correctly.
