Crushing with a Shaft-System
- Shafts can be used both for shredding waste and for crushing minerals. The Eggersmann IMPAKTOR therefore has a particularly wide range of applications in processing. However, as different tools are required for crushing minerals and shredding waste, the shafts must be changed between these applications. Due to the QuickChange shaft changing system, this can be done quite fast. Even when using a screen basket to pre-define the particle size, the shape of the end products remains heterogeneous. However, separation into different fractions is possible.
Crushing with Impact-System
- A »crushing« or an »impact« chamber is specially designed for crushing minerals. The material is crushed by throwing it onto impact plates at very high speed. The decisive factor in this process is the cubic shape of the end product, which is not achieved by jaw or cone crushers, for example. This shape allows the material to be compacted particularly well, which makes it ideal for use as a base course in road as well as in path construction. In addition, the grain size can be defined by the distance between the impact plates and the crushing bars as well as via a screen system with oversized material return. This makes impact crushers ideal for producing substitute construction materials from construction and demolition waste..
